Bristol East Conservative candidate seems to have disappeared off the earth since attacks on her personal finances in the Daily Mirror and the Mail group. Adeela, who like me is a genuine Bristolian candidate, has been notable by her absence. I have been to two events which she has pulled out of at the last minute. She nows seems to have been airbrushed from Conservative press statements like these
I certainly don’t wish Adeela ill, I have always found her to be friendly at the events I have attended and don’t think she has been part of the childish campaigns by tory bloggers to run a #kerryout campaign online (although she never condemned it). I do, of course, find her political choice strange as I have never heard her say anything that sounds like Conservative Party policy when speaking.
I think we need to know soon if Adeela is still the candidate for Bristol East.
Airbrushed? Was Adeela previously mentioned in the articles linked to above? If so, are the Conservatives campaign managers so ignorant they’ve never heard of Google cache? Questions that deserve answers I believe.
I’ve found a lot of Asians like to be seen as respectable and may side with the Tories because they sell themselves as the party of the establishment. This seems to have been a sad waste of talent with Adeela but I can understand why she wouldn’t want to rock the boat.
Presumably you think black people are good at dancing too?
I am inclined to delete this post partly because it makes no sense and partly because it is anonymous. Surely a lot of all sorts of people like to be seen as respectable and can’t see what the problem with that is.
Adeela is back and fighting strong
I have shared a husting with her and now I have a copy of her latest leaflet – which among other things lambastes new housing development.
